Training was provided in reporting, auditing operational system processing and related issues

A training was provided to the management staff of the Ethiopian National Theatre on report preparation, audit procedures, and related issues. The training was organized by the Theatre’s Strategic Affairs Directorate.
At the opening session, the General Director of the Ethiopian National Theatre, Candidate Dr. Bareke Tadese, explained that the training would help evaluate planning and implementation, ensure that all activities are carried out according to the plan, and support the achievement of higher-quality work. He emphasized that audits help institutions meet their objectives and correct gaps, making it important to apply the lessons learned from the training.
He noted that audit follows international standards, ensures that work is carried out according to laws and regulations, and provides guidance. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Finance, and the trainers for their support and cooperation.
The training was conducted over two consecutive days, beginning on Hidar 27, 2018 E.C. It was delivered by experts from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, including Mr. Getahun Gezahagn and Ms. Aynalem Kebede. The focus was on the concept and characteristics of planning, the relationship between planning, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as report preparation.
Additionally, Ms. Aynalem Kebede, Head of the Legal and Performance Audit Division at the Ministry of Finance, provided training on the nature and benefits of audit, its authority and responsibilities, and its role. Questions and comments raised by participants were addressed by the trainers.
