The Ethiopian National Theatre Cultural Group performed folk music during the anti-corruption day celebrations

On the occasion of Anti-Corruption Day, the Ethiopian National Theatre’s Cultural Troupe presented cultural music performances.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, together with partner institutions, commemorated the day under the motto “Nurturing Generations with Integrity, Strengthening Institutions with Good Governance.” The National Theatre’s Cultural Troupe performed musical works as well as poetry highlighting the fight against corruption and the destructive impact of corrupt practices.

On the day, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Her Excellency Shewit Shanka, emphasized that protecting public wealth and property requires modernizing administrative systems to prevent theft. She also noted that Anti-Corruption Day, observed globally for the 22nd time, serves as a platform to explain the nature of corruption, its dangers, and solutions. An introductory audio presentation was delivered, followed by discussions.

Finally, senior leaders from the Ministry of Culture and Sports and partner institutions submitted asset registration documents to the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, concluding the program.
