Artist Aselefech Bekele Neketebe is one of the oldest and prominent artists who left her mark in the field of art in a time where women are seen as a shame to be seen in public and on stage.

The famous artist Aselefech Bekele was born with her father Mr. Bekele Nekese-Tibeb and her mother Mrs. Belaynesh Admasu in 1940 in Addis Ababa in an area called Dejach Wube Sefer.

Artist Aselefech Bekele, who had a great love for art since her childhood, with her talent and great interest in the Ethiopian National Theater starting from December 8th 1958 E.C. she was hired as a cultural performer and retired until December 1st 1995 E.C. for 37 years she served in the theater with great passion, dedication and professional discipline.

In the continuous creative work that the theater house has been doing, she has not spared her talent as a singer, dancer, actor, dance coach and organizer, she has played her role with great responsibility and dedication and being exemplary in her work, she has been given many certificates and letters that express her artistic body, she is hardworking and diligent.
